We are the 67th DoncasterDanum Scout group (Sprotbrough) and have been around since 1914, after the initial setting up of scouting in 1909 by Sir Robert Baden Powell, in some shape or form, with a group in the village of Sprotbrough. We are part of a wider district of 34 groups based around Doncaster and wider still, the county of South Yorkshire, The UK, and The World.
We are currently based at Sprotbrough Methodist church hall and meet during school term time on 2 nights a week, offering a wide range of activities for children between 6-14 years old.
Over the years many children have passed through our group, and have gone onto use scouting knowledge as a base for their adult lives, using what they learnt to good effect, through the experiences that they had, both locally and internationally that scouting afforded them.
Meet the Team
All our leaders and helpers are volunteers. Who each bring a unique set of skills to the Scout Group.
We are always on the look out for adults to get involved and help deliver Scouting to our young people. There is a role to suit everyone and all are welcome. If you are interested please get in touch.
